Oh this wedding, where to begin? It has to have been one of the loveliest weddings I’ve ever been to, not only are Emma & Mike just wonderful (I declared my love for them on this post) but their families, the totally amazing bridesmaids and their friends were just a delight. The happiness at this wedding was just off the chart – I felt incredibly lucky to be able to capture it.
The attention to detail was just amazing (not that I would expect anything less from Emma after her effort in creating her look for her 50s style pre-wedding shoot, which was also featured on LoveMyDress). The dress was Vera Wang which she kindly let me photograph outside, the ever so pretty Emmy shoes sat perfectly on a Cath Kidston tea towel that I found, as did Emma’s earrings. I was completely in love with their invitation, a bespoke letterpress design from Hello Lucky. There was an abundance of flowers, not just the beautiful bouquets but Gaynes Park was literally covered in bottles, canisters, jars and vases of blooms (Florist Scent Flowers e: scentflowers@hotmail.com website coming soon!)
The day began at Emma’s parents where excitement built as the girls got ready – (how could I forget to mention the Bridesmaids 50s style dresses complete with the cutest lace gloves?!) I left Emma looking absolutely beautiful before making my way to The Holy Redemeer in Essex to meet Mike and the guests. The ceremony was lovely, very sweet and emotional with some beautiful singing before the register was signed and the confetti thrown. Everyone then made the journey to Gaynes Park, a new venue for me but one I hope I’ll return to again and again, it’s wonderful. Guests enjoyed canapes and drinks outside the Orangery whilst Gramophone DJ spun his 78s! When the couple arrived it was to huge applause. The fab weather meant we could make the most of the grounds for our couple images before the wedding breakfast began followed by the speeches and the evening reception. Emma & Mike opted for a Photobooth as part of their evening entertainment (those images will be posted in a separate post!) – the evening ended officially for me with the first dance and all I can say is this was one very special day from start to finish, I’m delighted to be able to share some of my favourite images with you.
This is a very long post I’d get a coffee, slice of cake and enjoy this one…
